As Google has told us, if we add 'rel="nofollow"' to our tags, we're fine. So if your advertisers are really buying text links for advertising and not just link-love, there's no problem.. so it's not really about selling links, it's about selling PR.

But how does Google know that any link isn't for that reason? I have a large page of Unix and Linux Consultants.. it's a free listing, so I'm not "selling" anything, but Google doesn't know that, and they don't know WHY I do this, so I have to add "nofollow" to those too..

And then what about Book and Product reviews? Google might misinterpret that also, so I add it there too.. and then I realize this is silly: I might as well add "nofollow" everywhere!
